I bought this to be used while I am Scuba Diving. Even with my prescription mask I cannot see the small numbers on my depth gauge and air pressure gauge. I attached this to my Buoyancy Compensator with a retractable leash and now I can see how deep I am and how muchh air I have left. Perfect....

I bought a few of these for use around the house and for my daughters to explore with. They have a nice rubberized handle and the frame is solid. I've seen them get dropped on the tile floor a couple of times and nothing has loosened or broken yet. The lense is made out of glass so they are slightly heavier than the plastic ones, but they are much less likely to scratch as well. Well worth the few extra dollars in my opinion.

I bought one of these for use in inspecting small firearm parts. The handle makes it easy to hold on to when you have oil or other slippery substance on your hands or when your hands are sweaty. The lens is very clear and undistorted. I did not find the tiny 10x magnifier that is built into the handle very useful, but I didn't buy it for that. I bought a second one to keep at my desk once I found out how nice the first one was.
